Do Your Homework!
How to get the most out of your private consultation.
Let’s be honest it’s not really such a chore to spend an evening thinking about your upcoming wedding and what you like or don’t like, what your wedding dress is like, what colours you love, what flowers hold a special place in your heart etc.
We invite every bride we work with to a private consultation where we chat about all these things at length. In order for us to create unique and individual designs that complement and suit you and your wedding theme, we need to get to know you!
You’d be forgiven for wondering what relevance your wedding dress design has to your flowers but we consider it part of our responsibility to enhance your wedding dress design with your bridal bouquet, if for example, you tell us that you’ve opted for a very ornate bodice, loaded with crystals off-set by quite a simple and elegant skirt and train, then we can advise you to have a low-slung bridal bouquet that doesn’t overpower the bodice.
So start collating a little wedding scrapbook to bring to your consultation, gather inspiration from wedding books, gardening and fashion magazines, the internet and don’t stop just at ‘wedding’ articles, a paint swatch card or your grandparent’s wedding photos might be just the trigger you need to spark your imagination and ours
Doing your homework in advance of our meeting will let you get the best out of us and leave us buzzing with ideas about how to capture your inspiration in flowers.
Please remember to book your private consultation well in advance as our Saturday appointments in particular get booked up really quickly and we want to be able to give you the time you deserve without feeling rushed.
